Event Facilities

The Howard County Historical Society has beautiful facilities that can be rented for special occasions such as weddings, bridal and baby showers, rehearsal dinners, graduation parties, birthdays, anniversary celebrations and even workshops. Rental date not guaranteed until completed rental application and payment of damage deposit are received. Rental and staff fees due 30 days prior to event.

Elliott House rental includes use of the first floor, full catering kitchen, second floor dressing room, 2 bathrooms, house porches, and tables and chairs for up to 75 people. Maximum capacity is 75 people. Guests are allowed 1 complimentary hour before and after rental for set-up and tear-down. Additional set-up/tear-down time must be rented. Set-up day prior to event and leaving decorations/belongings in Elliott House overnight requires 2 full day rentals. This does NOT include use of the grounds/yards surrounding the house. Tables and chairs are for indoor use only. A $200 damage deposit is due at signing to hold the date. Rental fees are due 30 days prior to the event. 

Seiberling Mansion rental includes use of the mansion foyer and main staircase, mansion porches and chairs for up to 25 people. Maximum capacity is 25 people. A $250 damage deposit is due at signing to hold the date. Rental and staff fees are due 30 days prior to the event.

The Seiberling Mansion is not available Tuesday - Sunday 1 PM - 4 PM or during some special events.

Grounds rental includes use of the east garden, mansion porch, and grounds between the mansion and Elliott House. This does not include access to the interiors or restrooms. A $200 damage deposit is due at signing to hold the date. Rental fee is due 30 days prior to the event.

Mansion porch and grounds are not available for rental or rental set-up Tuesday - Sunday 1 PM - 4 PM or during some special events.
